Ministerial Pilot Housing Scheme
The Ministerial
Pilot Housing Scheme (MPHS) is a construction finance model that was introduced
in 2012 under a tripartite arrangement where the Federal Ministry of Housing
and Urban Development provides unencumbered land; the Bank provides funding and
competent developers are engaged for the construction of the housing units for
NHF Contributors. The Scheme was conceptualized by the Ministry with the aim of
reducing the huge housing deficit and stimulating the economy through job
creation.
